Clans
Whenever you hear someone talking about Clans you can be almost sure he talks about one of four thief clans. All Four Clans is powerful thief groups that are fighting for more power on island and now in Real World too. Murders, cunning, fights till death and other such things are common in these Clans.

Air Clan(Earth - W., Fire , Water - N., Water - C., N.)

Water Clan(Air - L., N, Earth - L., N., Fire - L., W.)
As you can see Water Clan right now is leading all other Clans. Rightful Leaders and their families are killed or banished from Island. Almost all Clans, if we don't count their Leaders, don't know that Leaders don't lead.
Opposite Elements had always been on War but right now Balance is broken because one Element control all. If they would join together it would be different.

Once, in first War time there was men called Kolen the Flameheart. With his sharp mind and strong hand all Clans rejoined(Become the Clan). It was time what some of thieves love to remember but some thinks about it with disgust. But one thing is for sure - no fights and no killings was in this time between thieves. But like all humans, time came when Kolen had to die. After his death Clans broke union and old War restarted. In all times Leaders had tried to gain some mystical power that has been locked in some underground chambers. But they hadn't chance to enter. Those rare person who entered had never been seen again.
But time for Kolen's follower has came and he had gained this "power" that actually is sword and cape(Both magical but not something very very powerful). He has been chosen to continue path of Kolen Flameheart and rejoin the Clans once more

Air Clan:
Sword that stands on cloud. Black cats holding it and biggest cat stand on top of it, holding mirror
Earth Clan:
Sword that had vines and flowers growing all over it. Black cats holding it and biggest cat stands on top of it, holding mirror
Fire Clan:
Shield that flames. Black cats holding in and biggest cat stands in top of it, holding mask
Water Clan:
Shield that has water splashing around it. Black cats holding in and biggest cat stands in top of it, holding mask
The Clan:
Shield and sword that seems to go trough each other, like drawed on each other. Sword's plants are burning and water that surrounds shield seems to be blowed away from it. Cats still hold shield and sword and in front of all cats stood biggest one holding mask and mirror
Each Clan has different tattoos(Located on arms and neck or chests). Rankings and colors for each Clan is different. Blue color in Air Clan will not mean the same in Earth Clan. Tattoo color shows ranking. Each Clan's tattoos are little bit different

Air Clan: Whirlwind(For Leader white colored)
Earth Clan: Plants(For Leader brown colored)
Fire Clan: Flames(For Leader red colored)
Water Clan: Water splashes(For Leader blue colored)
In each Clan is three Leaders. One of them in Main leader, if we can call it so. he or she has greatest powers. Other two leaders is more like his helpers and good friends. Sometime Leader status come from one generation to another for hundreds of years

Earth Brotherhood(The Knowledge Tree's Brotherhood)
Fire Brotherhood The (Justice Flame's Brotherhood)
Water Brotherhood(The Clear Wave's Brotherhood)
Water and Fire Brotherhoods don't have the best relationships just like Air and Earth. But these anthypatises is hidden and unofficially.
Once Brotherhoods and Leader Knights was rulers of Island. They was like policy that watched everyone. They guarded Island and, actually, they were hard time for some region of Island. Then knight's and their brotherhoods started to fall. Sometimes Clans helped. And all ended that Brotherhoods and knights don't have anything else as proud(and sometime loud) words, promises and codex. They even don't have real power
All Brotherhoods accept only humans(Maybe there is one or two exceptions in all Fortress). And mostly not even Elementals(Not even talking about Animal Childes). They prefer person with no special powers. Some rumors tell that they don't trust different ones much too
All Brotherhoods still counts as guards of Island and hates Clans terribly. If one thief and one knight will be in the same room, fight or at least loud arguing will happen
Each Brotherhood has different symbol and type of armor. The armor usally have at least one of Brotherhood's colors

Air Brotherhood: On white field silver eagle that flies above and in the same time in gray whirlwind
Earth Brotherhood: On green field, golden tree that grows out of book. Marten sitting under tree and reading this book
Fire Brotherhood: Golden phoenix on red field holding flaming sword in it's claws. It's beak is open as in singing
Water Brotherhood: White dolphin that rides big wave in purily blue color, that is running on ground, not in ocean, with silver sparks
Each Brotherhood has their own colors.

Each Brotherhood has their own Animal

Each knight who had earned name "The Great Knight" gains his own symbol in his Brotherhood's colors. Usually these symbols go from one generation to next
Each Brotherhoods usually accept young boys and girl that somehow is similar to them. Everyone has to go to lot of hard test and quests before they can be accepted to any Brotherhood

Air Brotherhood mostly have very loyal and truthful knights. Their hearts are so good and clear sometimes that they just don't believe that lies and cunnings exist. Can end very badly. Don't love to kill but good judges. Sometimes little bit dreamy. And never call them stupid because they can angry. And, actually, they aren't stupid
Earth Brotherhood's knights are smart and kind people. They don't show off like Fire knight sometimes do. Earth knights mostly mixes with other the most and it is hard to even tell that she or he is knight. Their friendliness and wish to help sometimes can do much harm. Yet, they will not fall for some not very smart trap like Air knights could do. Usually Earth knights are more fragile persons. Lately half of new knights of is girls in this Brotherhood
Fire Brotherhood is most proud and most loud of all Brotherhoods. It's knight usually have great strengths, yet they aren't stupid. They love to show off with bright armor and big weapons, say loud and sometimes little bit to big words. It brings big trouble sometimes, But they will fight even until death for their thought and their friends
Water Brotherhood's knight are the ones who still follows all rules and old codex's that sometimes are even forgotten in other Brotherhoods(For example - they almost never accept girl as apprentices). They mostly are cold and suspicious persons that don't let anyone close(Even when needed). Those who don't like them call them "Ice knights" and somehow it even is truth. yet, if you will earn Water Knight's trust you will gain very loyal and good friend
As you see each knight from all Brotherhoods have their Good and Bad sides. Of course, these decryption is very short, just to give you little wiev. No of them are like I had written here but only similar. And no knight is copy of other knight even if they come from the same Brotherhood
Sadly but lot of old laws and rules are now forgotten. Knights aren't such good and truthful persons as they should be. There is even more and more black spots in white page. With hero time on Island time when knights was Light Bringers slowly faded
Still there is Law Codex that any knight has to obey. If knight breaks some of rule there is chance that mostly will come true that he/she will be exilde from his or hers Brotherhood. After exiling knigh loose all rank and names that he/she has gained. Also he or she looses armors and weapons. After five years exiled knight can join another Brotherhood but it happens rare because everyone will look at this person with frowning. Also, this knight can never join his old Brotherhood
It is almost impossible to change Brotherhood. If knight break his loyal promise against his/hers Brotherhood and goes to other, he/she looses all privilegies as knight of Brotherhood he left. Also, he/she can't come back to his old Brotherhood
Knights had big fortress in middle of Island. It is like one more giant city. Each of Brotherhood have one part of it. And in this Fortress only some non-knights can enter
Each apprentice has their own master but some things they learn in School that is located near heart of Fortress. All apprentices from all Bortherhoods goes there
Each apprentice, after ending studies earns his/hers own armor and weapons
