Young woman went trough the corridors of the dark castle. Every servant went out of her way, bowing, not even trying to hide the hate and envy in their eyes. She sneered but on inside she felt bored; they never tried to do anything and if there wasn't her meetings with the Queen, she would be bored to death if she lived in this castle.
Large black doors with carved war scenes was opened before her and without hesitating she went straight to one of the chairs near Queen and sat down.
Her queen was beautiful, no men that she had heard of could resist her charm. Her hair, darker than night it self was soft and rich, she could hide her whole body only with them. Her eyes were in color of sun, shining with wiseness. Her skin was white and smooth, like finest porcelain and it was hard to find woman who knew more about beautiful gowns as she did. Besides that, she had great sense of humor, she had knowledge about everything you could imagine talk about and she had power, thing that everyone wanted.
But that was only small reason why she respected her Queen.
She looked around for a second, her dark purple eyes memorizing each detail. She liked to know all ways of escape and if something had changed in the room, she could tell that something had changed in Queen's mood as well.
Room was large, quite glamorous. Large fire place lit up it all. There were desk, rich carpets and many book shelfs. Chairs were large and comfortable, everything was priceless, even the small ballet dancer figurine from finest china that stood on mantle piece.
It seemed that Queen is quite calm tonight. But something was going on, she was on war path, probably.
Woman's sneer turned in almost smile like smirk. If Queen was in such mood, it meant special mission just for her.
"You wished to see me, Your Majesty?" she asked. These words were just a game. Her attitude that never had been punished showed that there is no need for that. She never curtsied or bowed for her.
"I have a special mission for you, Hustana. It will be longer as usually, not only one night's job," Queen smiled to the royal assassin.
Woman nodded, waiting for the continue.
"From today, you will start to eliminate group of royalties and government leaders. Besides that, you will take some special thing they have and bring it back to me. Do you think it will be too hard for you?" Queen asked.
Hustana raised thin eyebrow. "How can something that easy be too hard for me? But where it the catch?"
"Ladora's king wants to get these things as well. And he will do everything to protect these persons. His helper is very strong, you have not met him before," Queen answered.
"He will be no match for me. Just give the list and everything will be done fast and easy," Hustana sneered.
"I knew I can count on you," Queen sounded pleased.
After this, she had soon left the castle and went on her first mission.
Everything had went perfect. She stood in the second floor of her target's house. She brushed one stray wisp of dark hair out of her dark purple eyes. They somehow always managed to stay out of place, even if she always pinned them up on the missions.
She walked quietly, like a panther in the hunt. Her black cloths let her mix with the shadows. her shoulders were bare but hands covered with fingerless gloves so she easily could use her two swords. She liked practical but a little bit pretty clothes. Not that she thought of her appearance much.
Now she had reached the doors of her victim's room. Woman stopped and listened. Almost all twenty four years of her life, she had been trained as assassin, her senses were sharper than normal person's. But at the moment she heard nothing.
Everything was clean.
Or was it really?
