In one of last parks in this abondan city, on bench, sat young girl. Her silvery hair was in pony tail. She was reading poem book and ignored everything around. It was already late evening and darkness of autumn's nights would soon take over Paris. Girl wore black jeans and top. Her bluish purple eyes shone light and thoughtfully. Usually no one, especially young girls, didn't risk to be out in time like this. But she seemed calm and almost happy, or it seemed so, looking to her soft smile. Next to her was big, black bag. Who knows what girl was planning but after moment, when everything was dark and full of shadows, to dark to read, she got up, put book in bag and walked out of park. No, more likely she walked in some bushes. No one saw what happened with first girl but after moment, from different side on path showed another girl. Her hair was white as snow and her eyes was deeply purple. Most strangest was that they looked like cat's eyes. Girl wore dark blue dress. She was smiling but this smile would make everyone termble. It was cold and unreal, like mirage. The same sight was in her eyes. Girl looked around and smirk like smile grew bigger. Then she dissapered. The Shadow Time had come and Princess of Shadows was ready for her Hunt.

A man (was he even a man?) walked through the forest. No, more like creeped, as if making a single noise would alert every evil in the world. Yet he was calm. He moved with a purpose, and the graceful panther behind him seemed to aid that purpose. A gentle flap of wings revealed a majestic eagle as it landed on a nearby branch. The man turned to the eagle, his uncovered eye (his left one) seeming to speak to the bird through four pupils. <What did you see?> <There is one woman, she seems to be from the government. You should hide for the night.> They spoke wordlessly.

Actually, thing that they didn't know was that 'woman' was standing very close them and watching them closely, not making even a sound. Shadows had swallowed her completely, not even creature with sharpest sight would spot her at moment. She grinned.

The panther suddenly seemed to smell something and gave off a low growl. Nythen looked to the creature and frowned. <What is it Genine?>

<Ooohhh.... Yeah, shadows can't hid my scent. At least not completely. Anyway, I don't believe they will find me so soon.> She thought.

<I smell something.> The panther, now known as Genine, and the man, called Nythen, spoke just as Nythen and the eagle had. Nythen followed his gaze to a group of trees with thick shadows all around them. <Hivalbar, see if you can see them from the sky.> The eagle took off to obey his master.

Girl smirked. Eagle could not see her. She could easily kill this man, with one shot if she would not know that at the moment she just follows him and maybe brings him back. <I am assassin, not a babysitter!> She thought angrily. Any kind of watching over someone was as boring and annoying as babysitting someone.

Nythen suddenly seemed to turn toward her, his right eye uncovered. It twitched, searching the trees, moving seperate of his other eye. Then it seemed to spot her. "Come out." he spoke. "I can see through the shadows."

Genine tried to shrink back into the shadows. Nythen smiled to her. "So you are the one they sent." his right eye seemed to twitch as it moved too quickly to see, examining every bit of her.

She tilted head a bit. "Not like I would be gald about it." Her deeply purple head examined him in the same way. She had very contrating and interesting appearance but it was much less as interesting as she was on inside. Girl crossed arms and smirked.

Nythen frowned. "You are only an apprentice. I am dissapointed." he spoke, still frowning.

"What?" Girl looked to him, her eyes narrowing. "If you think that I am jsut playing on my look and think that it shows my rank, you are wrong." She explained, knowing that most of peopel thought so. "But, anyway, I am not here for chatting. I have seen everything what I needed." She was ready to turn and leave.

Nythen's lip twitched. <Should I keep her here? She could give away our position.> <No. Let her go. We will just move somewhere else.> "Yet you act like a lowly aprentice."

She shrugged. "And you act like the centre of the world. But that doesn't mean you are one." Her smirk was clear in her voice as she mixed up with shadows. This time she will be more careful. Shadows could hid her from bigger fishes then he was, she jsut wasn't so careful this time. Yet you act like a lowly aprentice echoed in her mind. <Go to hell! I am the best in all this stupid Government group! Or they would not pay me so much. > She gritted teath. He was just like all males. Oh, soon enough he will be toy of Government and then she will have chance to laugh about him. Girl stood in shadows not far from last meeting place with Nythen. Half not noticing it by her self, she raised hand and commanded one of Shadows follow him and then give message that she can get back to her work. Or jsut tell where his hideout is. After all, if he could see her, her body and maby aura or spririt, he could not see shadow creature that had none of these things.

Nythen watched her dissapear in the shadows. He looked to Genine. <Is she still there?> The panther nodded. <Yes, but we should keep moving.> Nythen frowned and turned away to walk on. He moved quickly, his body a blur, and yet he didn't make a single sound.

Shadow followed them, obeying the girl's command. It had no other choice. She had much bigger powers then she thought. And it knew that she ahs to complete this mission so it will just tell where is this person's hideout, not letting her follow him. It has to prtect her, now and always.

Nythen's group moved swiftly, still barely visible, until they suddenly tunred a corner and seemed to dissapear.

It stopped but then walked further. There had to be something, some secret passageway or something similar.

There was nothing. Only trees and bushes and shadows, just like any forest.
