He gently lifted her and climbed the tree, setting her beside him on the branch, his arm hovering close by to catch her if she fell. He looked to her and smiled again.

Dalina smiled. She was happy, though her happiness was shadowed a little. She always had to think what she says and how she acts. Besides, she couldn't tell him why she didn't want to sleep.

He gently hugged her shoulder as he silently watched over the camp.

She leaned in him lightly and enjoyed this wonderful feeling of peace and happiness. <It is nice to love. I wonder if my mother felt like this with my father too... Maybe that's why she forgave him...> girl thought and closed eyes for second. Those memories still stung.

He looked to her from time to time, making sure she was okay. But mainly he watched the camp and surrounding area, not moving anything except his head and eyes.
